Two week’s ago my shoe lovers post was about DISCO Boots! I’d attended a birthday party and danced in those YELLOW disco boots all night! What I didn’t share is that I also went to an Omega Psi Phi Mardi Gras party on Friday night, and to a Charlie Wilson, Joe, and Kem concert on Sunday night! I danced at all three events! WHAT WAS I THINKING! I’d already had doubts about getting through the weekend with these events, and not because of the dancing, but because I don’t go out on a regular basis and certainly not three nights in a row! I actually don’t remember EVER going out three nights in a row! Usually, if I’m out late at night or into the wee hours of the morning you can find me in the bed most of the following day, recuperating. I am usually worthless the next day!
This time though, I’d convinced myself that I could hang! Especially, because some of The Group members would also be attending the Saturday and Sunday events. I am the eldest of The Group and I couldn’t let them show me up, right!
Well, not only did I pay for it on Monday, I paid for it the entire WEEK! Sunday night when I returned home I tweaked my back really, really bad! I’m sure it was a combination of things and dancing in the boots and at the concert surely were contributing factors!
I am better this week after a round of steroids, muscle relaxers, and pain pills. I’ve been treading lightly and wearing flats. Thank God I have flat shoes in my closet! I’m a high heel girl and prefer those to flats, but this week returning to work, I gladly wore flats!
Needless to say, I haven’t picked up my camera in two weeks, but I didn’t want to miss another weekly shoe lovers post! This week I don’t have a stylized photo of my shoes. However, I am sharing a picture of oil on canvas artwork that hangs in my bedroom and is the first thing I see when a awaken each morning. It serves as a reminder and inspiration for me to pursue fashion photography!
I paid too! Love the picture!
