Before going to Hawaii I’d planned on going to the Honolulu Zoo to photograph the animals. So my nieces and I ventured out and caught the bus to the zoo. When we arrived I saw several Banyan trees. I’d seen a Banyan tree on my very first visit about 17 years ago and thought it was a really unique tree. Because I’d also planned to photograph this tree, I was delighted to be surrounded by them at the zoo. There are several stories about how this tree, which is native to India, ended up in Hawaii. This link will give more of the actual history of the Banyan trees in Hawaii: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banyan.
I captured a few great photos of animals as we strolled around the zoo. Afterwards, we decided to walk the long trek back to our hotel by way of the Waikiki strip. Yes, I was pooped after all of the walking! It was a fun day though!
Nice!!!

Your zoo photos should be in National Geographic. They are simply beautiful as are YOU!
