Yesterday I joined fellow shutterbugs for a Meetup at Brookside Gardens in Silver Spring, MD to photograph beautiful butterflies. I also photographed caterpillars, and these caterpillars were pretty, considering they were caterpillars! Growing up I was used to seeing very fuzzy caterpillars, and these were not.

I really enjoyed this event because I just love nature and all of the beauty it has to offer! The various butterfly species, colors, and patterns were so awesome! I learned that there is actually a butterfly that has clear wings!  There weren’t any at the exhibit, but they are expected in a couple of weeks.
